Picture of Murphy
I used to stand at the school gate waiting for my daughters to come out of school and like all moms got friendly with one particular lady.
On one occasion while we were talking she said she had got a litter of puppy's, It turned out they were Staffie's. I happened to say that my husband Tony liked Staffie's but we would never be able to afford to own one. Three months passed by we had spoken weekly about the litter, they had decided to run two pups on a Dog & a Bitch.
One day out of the blue my friend came to me and said they had decided to sell both the pups, Her husband had enquired if we would be interested in owning one. My initial reaction was how much and when she replied fifteen pounds i nearly fell through the floor.
When Tony came back from work that night i couldn't wait to tell him what my friend had said, His immediate response was oh it must be a cross. I talked him around to just go and have a look at them.
When we saw him we couldn't believe our luck he was a cute Black Brindle pup with K.C and pedigree papers as well.
His was like a Gremlin and was badly under-shot but he was our pride and joy of our Family and everyone loved him; And his temperament was second to none.
That was way back in 1984, We had Duke for Ten and half years when he passed away. Two years passed by before we bought Jasper, It was at this time that we first started to attend Ring Craft & started Showing.
At the moment we are showing a Bitch that we have bred ourselves, It shows how far we have come over the years. Special thanks to all the people we have met with Staffords at Shows and at Ring Craft.
In memory of Duke our first Stafford who will always have a special place in all our hearts.
Gone but not forgotten.
